Dublin City Council has greenlit the redevelopment plan for Dalymount Park, one of the nation's most historic stadiums, after nearly 13 years since the initial contemplation. The approved proposal envisions a new four-sided stadium with a future capacity exceeding 8,000 spectators.

Daniel Lambert, the Chief Operating Officer at Bohemian Football Club, emphasizes the importance of preserving the spirit of the old Dalymount while ushering in modern changes. Lambert acknowledges the challenge, stating, "It's really hard to do because big building firms just want to get in and get out."

However, he expresses the club's commitment to incorporating elements from the historic stadium, including old turnstiles, crush barriers for bike parking, and features from graffiti and murals. The goal is to strike a balance between the nostalgia of the past and the functionality of a modern stadium.

Lambert envisions the new development as a home that resonates with fans, ensuring a seamless blend of tradition and innovation. He highlights the potential positive impact on various aspects of the club, including the men's and women's teams, community work, and youth development.

The ambitious timeline set by the club aims for the full stadium redevelopment to be completed by the 2027 season. This significant project holds the promise of elevating the club to new heights, fostering growth and benefitting different facets of Bohemian Football Club.
